Isaiah 41:10 (NIV): "...do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Context:
Isaiah 41 is part of a section of Isaiah that addresses the people of Israel in a time of difficulty and uncertainty. Throughout this book, God uses the prophet Isaiah to communicate His promises, judgments, and encouragements to His people. In this particular verse, God is speaking directly to His people, offering them a powerful reassurance of His constant presence and unwavering support.
The verse begins with a command not to fear, a theme that is repeated throughout the Bible, reminding us of God's sovereignty and control over all circumstances. The reasons for this command are rooted in the character and actions of God:
- God's Presence: "For I am with you" reassures us of God's constant presence with His people. This presence is a source of comfort and strength in every situation, reminding us that we are never alone.
- God's Sovereignty: "For I am your God" speaks to God's authority and power over all things. It is a reminder that God is not just any deity, but their God, who has a personal and covenantal relationship with them.
- God's Provision: "I will strengthen you and help you" promises divine assistance and empowerment. It's not just about God being with us; He actively provides what we need to face our challenges.
- God's Protection: "I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" signifies God's commitment to sustain and protect His people. The right hand is often associated with power and authority; thus, God's righteous right hand implies both moral rightness and strength.
This verse offers profound encouragement to believers, reminding us that God is always present, powerful, providing, and protecting. It encourages us to replace fear with faith in God's promises and presence, assuring us of His endless support and strength in every circumstance of life

In this story, found in the Gospel of John chapter 11, Jesus receives word that His friend Lazarus is sick.😪
Instead of going immediately to heal him, Jesus waited two more days before beginning the journey to Bethany, where Lazarus lived with his sisters, Mary and Martha.
By the time Jesus arrives, Lazarus has been dead for four days.
Jesus then raises Lazarus from the dead, showcasing His power over life and death and glorifying God in the process.

I thought my mother was going to live forever. She was so full of life. I thought she would never die. She was so strong and formidable. She was 97 years young. She seemed like she had the strength of 1000 men. She was one of a kind.
